The Patent Department provides the strategic vision, creative support and professional follow-through needed to successfully protect and promote our clients' inventions

Our services include procuring patents (provisional, utility, design, and PCT); managing, evaluating, and licensing patent portfolios; advising clients concerning the validity, infringement, or enforcement of patents; handling interferences and examinations, oppositions in foreign patent offices; and, litigating patents in the courts and, with associate counsel, in other jurisdictions around the world. 

• Drafting, filing and prosecution of local and foreign patent applications
• Filing international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), including filing of National Phase applications
• Analysis of prior art, patents, and patent applications, for both offensive and defensive purposes
• Counseling and opinion practice, including preparation of legal opinions with regard to patentability, infringement, and enforceability of patents
